Homebrewing

I brewed my first batch of homebrew in the summer of 2014. It was a Blonde Ale with a calculated 6.82% ABV. It turned out a little darker than I anticipated for a Blonde Ale and tasted akin to some IPAs on the market. Since it was my first batch, I had a few minor hiccups along the way and built some knowledge for my next batch which I should be starting soon. Overall, I would rate my first batch a 6.5/10. It tastes nice initially but has a strong aftertaste that is not so pleasant. However, the brew is strong and it doesn’t take many to feel significant effects from it.
